Encentuate Delivers Single Sign-On with Graceful Log-Off to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital

St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital Automates Access to Patient Information and Strengthens Security with the Encentuate IAM Suite

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - October 10, 2007 — Encentuate, Inc. today announced that St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) in Newburgh, New York has deployed Encentuate's end-point identity and access management (IAM) Suite to simplify, strengthen, and track patient-information access. Encentuate leverages SLCH's employee building badges for strong authentication and automates sign-on and sign-off to all of the hospital's core applications. With a staff of over 1700 at two hospital campuses and various off-site facilities, SLCH provides quality care to more than 270,000 residents of the Hudson Valley in New York State.

SLCH has enabled single sign-on and graceful log-off to more than 15 applications including Meditech MAGIC. To ensure that applications are not left running with visible confidential information and that caregivers are not locked out due to improper logouts, Encentuate automates the log-off process by gracefully shutting down each application and logging off the user according to proper protocol.

"Encentuate's single sign-on and sign-off solution gives all of our medical professionals and staff convenient and secure access to patient information," said Jane Lake, director of information technology for SLCH. "Not only can our users forget about keeping track of many passwords, they can also log-off seamlessly with one step while Encentuate takes care of the rest."

Encentuate leverages SLCH's physical infrastructure by integrating with existing building badges for strong authentication. To verify that users are who they say they are, individuals simply need to tap the building badge that they always carry and sign-in with a single strong password.

"We're excited to work with Jane and her team to streamline and secure access to their critical information," said Zorawar Biri Singh, president and chief executive officer of Encentuate. "St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital provides progressive, quality care to the community and it is our goal to make sure caregiver access is always simple and secure, and eliminate even the slightest delays in time-to-information."
