Children's Hospital Boston Selects Single Sign-On Solution from Encentuate to Improve Caregiver Productivity
Encentuate enhances quality of patient care by streamlining caregiver workflows and protecting patient information
New Orleans, LA. - February 27, 2007 — Encentuate, a
provider of end-point identity and access management (IAM) solutions,
today announced that Children's Hospital Boston, a 350-bed leading
center for pediatric medical care and research has deployed Encentuate for Healthcare to provide single sign-on to its caregivers and
staff. Encentuate provides Children's Hospital Boston with an
integrated solution that improves caregiver productivity, reduces the
caregiver's dependency on multiple logins and passwords, and protects
confidential patient information from unauthorized access in order to
enable HIPAA compliance.

Currently, Children Hospital Boston has more than 8,000 employees,

provides single sign-on and single sign-off to all applications that
are accessed on clinical workstations, including Epic, Cerner,
Eclipsys, FUJI Synapse, Sharepoint clinician portal, PeopleSoft, and
Outlook Web Access. Encentuate also ensures rapid switching
between caregivers on shared workstations and protects unattended
desktops from unauthorized access by providing configurable,
time-based desktop security policies.
