Encentuate Customer Recognized for Best IT Security StrategyEncentuate helps JTC Corporation win MIS Asia IT Excellence AwardRedwood City, Calif. - January 16, 2007 - Encentuate, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise end-point identity and access management solutions, today announced that its customer, JTC Corporation, has received the MIS ASIA IT Excellence Award in the IT Security Strategy category for its implementation of Encentuate's end-point identity and access management (IAM) solution. The MIS Asia IT Excellence Awards attracted more than 40 entries from 11 countries in Asia. The IT Security Strategy award category recognizes IT teams with sound security enforcement policies, as well as an ability to innovate in managing security risks and reducing the workload associated with patching servers and desktops. JTC was recognized for its outstanding achievements in business-driven IT at the 4th annual MIS IT Excellence Awards gala dinner in August 2006. Encentuate provides JTC with a comprehensive and user-friendly identity and access management solution that combines single sign-on and sign-off in heterogeneous environments, secure remote access, authentication management, and user-centric auditing and reporting. The solution ensures that users can easily and securely access JTC's corporate network and information, both from within the office perimeter or from remote locations. "We are pleased with the recognition that JTC is receiving from the region's industry media for improving its IT operations, and honored that we were able to play a vital role in the company's success," said Kuo-Yi Lim, Vice President, Asia Pacific Operations at Encentuate. "The award is both recognition for one of our valuable customer and validation of Encentuate's efforts to deliver solutions that balance the enterprise and IT requirements for compliance and security with the end-user imperative for convenience." JTC's Strong Digital Identity project, based on Encentuate, was the basis for its MIS Asia IT Excellence award submission. Faced with increasing password-related helpdesk requests and a mandate from government regulations requiring the use of two-factor authentication to secure remote-access, JTC began searching for a comprehensive solution. JTC needed a solution that could help simplify the user login experience, enhance productive use of IT systems, minimize the use of IT resources for non-strategic efforts such as password related calls, and widely enable secure remote access to all users by providing two-factor authentication. "Upon implementing the Strong Digital Identity project, we are able to increase employee productivity and meet the security mandate," said Chee-Yuen Yap, Group Chief Information Officer and Chief Knowledge Officer at JTC. "The project unifies and simplifies the login experience for all users, at all network, application and remote access points. The solution strengthens remote access to our corporate network through two-factor authentication for all users, and reduces helpdesk costs as account lockouts and password reset calls are minimized. The MIS Asia IT Excellence Award is testimony of the winning formula of integrating the talent of JTC's IT team with leading technology." Entries for the MIS Asia IT Excellence Awards were received from organizations throughout Asia in both the private and public sector. A panel of 12 judges, comprising CIOs and IT directors, academics and analysts, judged all entries based on how well the organizations used IT to drive revenue, sales or other business-linked measurement. |
