Encentuate Named Finalist For Multiple SC Magazine 2007 Awards Program
Selected in Two Categories: "Best Identity Management Solution" and "Best Multi- and Second-factor Solution" categories
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - December 5, 2006 - Encentuate, Inc., a
provider of end-point identity and access management solutions, today
announced that its flagship product, Encentuate, and its
patent-pending technology, Encentuate iTag, were named finalists for
the SC Magazine Reader Trust Awards. Encentuate was recognized in
the category for "Best Identity Management Solution", and iTag was
recognized in the "Best Multi- and Second-factor Solution" category.
"Once again, we are honored to be recognized by SC Magazine and its
readers as one of the most innovative and best solution in the
identity and access management space," said Peng T. Ong, founder and
chairman of Encentuate. The nominated solution, Encentuate
uniquely provides end-point identity and access management (IAM) that
combine multiple capabilities at the end-points - enterprise single
sign-on across all end-points, authentication management with the
widest choice of authentication factors, combined physical and logical
access, user-centric auditing and reporting, and integration with
best-of-breed provisioning systems. iTag, a patent-pending technology,
provides organizations with the flexibility to leverage any personal
device and photo badge for two-factor authentication by leveraging
cost-effective smart labels or other sticker labels.
"Innovations like what we've seen from Encentuate demonstrate the
vibrancy and vitality of the IT security industry," says SC Magazine
Editor-in-Chief Illena Armstrong. "They represent breakthroughs that
will benefit our readers and, in turn, corporate users of technology."
The solutions from Encentuate were amongst nearly 400 entries
submitted in nine technology categories. Placement in the SC Magazine
Awards program is based on voting by more than 9,000 of the
publication's readers. Encentuate was the only Enterprise Single
Sign-On (ESSO) solution nominated in the "Best Identity Management
Solution" category. Final winners will be announced at an awards event
to be held on February 6th during the RSA Conference in San Francisco.
