Martin W. Brauns

Martin Brauns is the retired Chairman and CEO of Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV). During his eight-year tenure with Interwoven, he led the company from promising pre-revenue Silicon Valley start-up, on through a highly successful IPO in October 1999, an equally successful secondary stock offering in January of 2000 and through more than a dozen strategic acquisitions in the years that followed. At Martin's retirement from Interwoven in 2006, the company was a profitable, growing, industry leader and among the world's 50 largest software companies.

Prior to joining Interwoven, Martin held various sales and marketing management, expatriate, and senior executive assignments with companies including Informix, Adaptec, Wyse Technology, Librex, National Semiconductor, and others.

Martin holds an MBA and a BS from San Jose State University. He is an accomplished endurance athlete having completed numerous marathons, ultramarathons, Ironman triathlons as well as the 1998 Ultraman World Championship 320-mile ultra-endurance triathlon. He is also an accomplished sailor, having won among other things, the prestigious West Marine Pacific Cup 2100-mile trans-Pacific yacht race in 2004.
